This open style of “energy painting” is uniquely able to capture moods and vibration through the looseness of the brushstrokes, even from action shots (eg. mountain biking, extreme sports..).
Works may take 1-3 weeks before shipment, depending on the current lineup.
All artworks are shipped via FedEx with tracking.
I call it "energy painting" because that's exactly how it feels… letting the brushstrokes run through me with impact and meaning.
The creative act becomes a form of breathing — and the artwork is about the lived experience, caught and held within the medium.
McCool Street Art came about as a busking experiment to connect with locals while creating unique and affordable pieces of art with subjects personal to the audience.
This particular style of art is all about immersion and spontaneity — sinking into an emotive flow which brings about the physicality and immediacy of the unfolding piece.
It takes years of training to work reactively — through a practice called “gesture drawing” — allowing for subtle intuition to maneuver the medium across the surface without the thinking mind getting in the way.
The result is an excitingly one-of-a-kind, expressive capture of the subject.
